I love doing Distance Reiki sessions for my clients! It’s a wonderful reminder that we are all energetically connected to one another and that our healing intentions and energies can powerfully travel across time and space, no matter the distance!

Here is why Distance Reiki works:

1. EVERYTHING IS ENERGY – The cells that make up our organs and tissues, the air that we breathe, the vital force energy that animates our bodies, even the thoughts we think and the feelings we feel all have energetic substance to them.

2. ENERGY IS NOT LIMITED BY SPACE NOR TIME – We are all connected via what metaphysical researcher and author Gregg Braden refers to as the ‘Divine Matrix’. The Divine Matrix is described as a conscious web of energy that connects everything in the Universe and responds to human intention. Physicists refer to this living matrix of energy as the Quantum Field. Star Wars enthusiasts know it as ‘The Force!’

What a Healer calls ‘Distance Healing’ may be similarly referred to as ‘Quantum Entanglement’ by a physicist. Here is the concept described in the words of a physicist:

“Quantum Entanglement is a phenomenon in which the quantum states of two or more objects become correlated, meaning that the state of one object can affect the state of the other(s) even if the objects are separated by large distances. This occurs because, according to quantum theory, particles can exist in multiple states at the same time (a concept known as superposition) and can be inextricably linked, or ‘entangled,’ even if they are physically separated.”

Having the intention to send Reiki energy over a distance (by the sender) and the intention to receive (by the recipient) connects the energy channels between the two bodies – think of this intention like a ‘bridge’ of energy – that allows the healing energy to travel across a distance. Of course, the Distance Reiki symbol is used in all Distance Reiki sessions too and that carries a special conductive energy of its own.

Therefore, Distance Reiki is not only possible, it is also powerful! Just like an in-person Reiki session, when Reiki is done over a distance the healing energy can be felt. Receivers of Distance Reiki can report feeling deeply relaxed, feeling warm or tingling sensations, seeing colours, accessing meditative states and receiving spiritual insights; just as they might during an in-person Reiki session!
